Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 2026

At Aquaponic Farm Al Ain, your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our website or booking our services, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information:

  • Identity & Contact: name, email address, phone number, and billing/shipping address when you place an order or make a booking.
  • Payment Information: card details processed securely through Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
  • Booking Details: visit dates, number of guests, activity selections, and special requests for day trips and overnight stays.
  • Communications: messages you send us via contact forms, email, or WhatsApp.
  • Usage Data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time spent — collected automatically to help us improve our website.
  • Newsletter: email address if you subscribe to our newsletter.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Process and fulfil your orders and bookings.
  • Send order confirmations, booking receipts, and relevant updates.
  • Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support.
  • Send promotional emails and offers — only with your consent, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
  • Improve our website, products, and customer experience.
  • Comply with our legal and regulatory obligations under UAE law.
  • Prevent fraud and protect the security of our systems.

3. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share your data with:

  • Payment processors (Stripe) to securely handle transactions.
  • Shipping and logistics providers to deliver your orders.
  • Email and marketing platforms used to send newsletters (only if you have subscribed).
  • Analytics services to help us understand website usage.
  • Government or regulatory authorities where required by UAE law.

All third-party service providers are contractually required to handle your data securely and only for the purposes we specify.

4. Cookies and analytics

Essential cookies. These keep the site working — your language choice, your cart contents, and your sign-in session. They are always on, because the site cannot function without them, and they are never used to track you across other websites.

Analytics cookies. We ask before setting any of these. Nothing is loaded and no analytics cookie is placed until you press Accept on the cookie banner. If you decline, any analytics cookies already on your device are deleted. You can change your mind at any time with the Cookie settings link in the footer.

With your consent we use two services:

  • Google Analytics — to count visitors and understand which pages and products people look at, where they arrived from, and where they abandon checkout.
  • Microsoft Clarity — to see where people struggle: clicks that did nothing, repeated clicks in frustration, how far down pages are read, and script errors.

What we do not send them. Before any page address reaches these services we remove email addresses and one-time links such as password-reset and booking tokens. Microsoft Clarity is not loaded at all on pages reached through a link we emailed you. We do not send your name, email address, phone number or payment details to either service.

Advertising. Google's advertising features and Google Signals are switched off. We do not use analytics data to build advertising profiles or to target ads, and we do not sell it. Analytics data is retained in Google Analytics for 14 months, after which it is deleted automatically.

You can also configure your browser to refuse cookies, though some features of the site may not work correctly without the essential ones.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. Order and booking records are typically retained for a minimum of five years for tax and accounting purposes. You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Your Rights below).

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. All payment data is encrypted in transit using TLS. However, no method of online transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct any inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Delete your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements.
  • Opt out of marketing emails at any time by clicking "unsubscribe" in any email we send.
  • Object to processing of your data in certain circumstances.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 9.

8. Third-Party Links

Our website may contain links to external websites (e.g. social media platforms, maps). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third-party sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.

9. Children's Privacy

Our website and services are not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with the revised date shown at the top. We encourage you to review this policy periodically to stay informed about how we protect your information.
